DRAW, THEN REVIEW THE WHOLE HAND
A typical rummy turn starts with drawing a card from an available pile. Look at how it fits with the cards you already hold before choosing a discard. The exact draw, discard and declaration rules come from the table you join.
KEEP TWO TYPES OF GROUP SEPARATE
A sequence uses consecutive ranks of one suit: 5♥, 6♥, 7♥. A set uses the same rank in different suits: 8♥, 8♣, 8♠. Cards close in number but in different suits do not form a sequence. Matching suits alone are not enough either.
CHECK BEFORE DISCARDING
- Count the cards and identify which groups are complete.
- Check how a joker may be used in this variant.
- Review incomplete groups before selecting the card to discard.
- Read the declaration conditions for the full hand, not only one group.
A hand with one correct sequence is not automatically ready to declare. Scoring, the number of required sequences and joker rules can differ by variant. If a rule is unclear, read the table’s help screen before entering a round. The website’s examples are practice patterns, not a forecast of results.
